The Trainer-Intermediate position plays a pivotal role in creating immersive and impactful learning experiences that drive organizational success. This position is centered on designing and delivering dynamic training solutions that engage learners and meet strategic goals. From developing interactive eLearning modules and visually compelling presentations to crafting concise quick-reference guides and micro-learning videos, the Training Analyst ensures each learning asset resonates with its audience.

Utilizing proven adult learning methodologies, such as the ADDIE model, the Trainer-Intermediate position collaborates with subject matter experts to build innovative and practical training programs. They also moderate engaging virtual training sessions and continuously explore new techniques to elevate learner engagement and retention.

In addition to content creation, the Trainer-Intermediate position will manage training logistics such as enrollments and attendance via the internal Learning Management System and provide actionable insights through data visualization tools like PowerBI. Proficiency in eLearning software (such as Articulate 360, Canva Pro, and Murf.ai) is required. Strong proficiency with all Microsoft 365 applications (such as Lists, Forms. SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel) would be beneficial. The role requires exceptional organizational, problem-solving,g and time/project management skills. Experience in large-scale organizations or familiarity with government or procurement processes is an asset. • Reports tothe Training and Process Optimization Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Training Materials: Assist with creating engaging and interactive learning materials for various target audiences.
  • Can include items such as online self-directed content, presentations, quick reference guides, microlearning videos, job aids, templates, content libraries, learning paths, scenarios, etc. that align with organizational objectives.
  • Moderate Virtual Training Delivery: Moderate virtual training sessions using diverse instructional delivery techniques, including virtual tools, group discussions, and activities.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: Work closely with training team members and other key stakeholders to develop various training materials.
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of trends and best practices to enhance training methods and incorporate innovative approaches.
  • Manage Training Logistics: Coordinate scheduling and participant registrations/attendance to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Maintain Documentation: Accurately track training activities, evaluations, and feedback for reporting and auditing purposes.
  • Develop Data Visualization: Utilizing data available from the Learning Management System to create various ongoing reporting items such as scheduled reports, and so on, using PowerBI (would be an asset).


Skills

Mandatory

  • Expertise in instructional design and adult learning methodologies including the ADDIE model or similar.
  • Proficiency with rapid eLearning Development tools such as Articulate 360, Canva, Murf.ai
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Lists, Forms, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, etc)
  • Strong problem-solving/critical thinking skills to deliver solutions to complex training topics.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality programs.


Assets

  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines. Project Management experience.


Mandatory Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Training Analyst or a similar role in a large organizational setting (2-5 years).
