The Head of Operations will be responsible for providing leadership and management to a team of regional managers who are in turn responsible for overseeing the consistent execution of brand, health and safety and operating standards within their assigned territories and franchise locations. Further, the Head of Operations will build a strong operational culture that is customer focused, highly efficient and poised for growth, and will oversee the development, communication, and implementation of all operational systems and procedures system-wide.


Responsibilities

· Builds credibility through high levels of execution

· Builds and delivers a workplace culture of excellence, service and passion for our mission

· Clearly communicates and cascades key objectives to Operations team

· Coaches and mentors direct and indirect teams to develop skills

· Considers impact of operational approaches and decisions on the customer experience and costs

· Creates accountability for compliance with all safety procedures and protocols

· Develops and maintains all operating systems and procedures to open and manage locations

· Develops annual operating plan and budget

· Develops new reporting tools as needed and ensures reports are utilized to deliver against objectives

· Develops a departmental culture of accountability

· Drives standardization while instilling a mindset of continuous improvement

· Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all reporting

· Establishes objectives and performance standards that are rigorously monitored and managed

· Analyzes business performance, determines root causes and takes appropriate corrective actions to drive results

· Introduces and educates others on how to use new tools, technology and systems

· Oversees and enforces compliance with established brand policies and procedures

· Uses data to take informed actions to improve performance and help others understand the implications of key decisions

· Works closely with the commissary team and supply chain manager to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings

· Works with leadership to formulate and implement business strategy, plans, and operational best practices

· Works with marketing department to direct sales and promotional activities and assist with assessing effectiveness of local marketing efforts

· Performs other additional duties as assigned


Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 10 years’ experience, most recently as a Director or equivalent, in a successful multi-unit restaurant

-  Prior experience in scaling a retail, restaurant or hospitality organization with strong systems and processes

- Prior experience leading and managing a team

- Flexible work schedule and ability to travel by car within Ontario and abroad if/as needed outside.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and process new information quickly

- Demonstrated collaborative skills, open to feedback, extreme attention to detail

- Proficient in MS Office with above average proficiency in Excel and data manipulation

- Strong analytical skills

- Self-motivated team player

- Strong skills in strategic planning, organization, time management, presentation & facilitation, listening, and problem-solving

- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and field personnel

- Excellent oral and written English communication skills

- Strong business acumen

· Ability to build organizational and staff capacity and processes that ensure the organization runs smoothly

· Financially focused with a data-driven approach to making decisions

· Solution-oriented with a demonstrable track record of driving progress and delivering results
