Position Overview: We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Investigator. As an Investigator at Preszler Injury Lawyers, you will play a crucial role in supporting the intakes process.



The position requires reliable access to a vehicle as you will be travelling across the GTA to meet with clients and potential new clients.



Investigator Job Summary:


  • Meet with potential clients at their preferred location to conduct intake interviews and assist with signing retainer agreements and release forms.
  • Document client identification, injuries, and accident scenes through notes, photos, and measurements as needed.
  • Review retainer details with clients and answer any questions they may have.
  • Complete and submit the New Client Intake Form and a summary email to relevant staff within 24 hours.
  • Maintain firm vehicle, submit mileage and fuel receipts, and manage schedule through email/calendar.
  • Conduct additional investigative tasks or errands as directed by firm lawyers or support staff.



Qualifications:


  • Previous Investigative or Fieldwork Experience: Experience in investigations, law enforcement, or a similar field would help with skills like interviewing, observation, and documentation.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients, especially those in potentially sensitive situations.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate note-taking, photographing, and documentation skills to ensure thorough records for each client.
  • Organizational Skills: Capability to manage schedules, follow processes for intake, and submit required documentation within deadlines.
  • Basic Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with legal documents, such as retainer agreements and release forms, to confidently guide clients through the signing process.
  • Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record and the ability to drive to client locations as required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort with technology for emailing, attaching photos, and managing schedules.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to carry out tasks that may involve physical activity, such as measuring or photographing accident scenes.
