Workplace Investigator

As a private investigator at AFIMAC, you will play a vital role in conducting corporate workplace investigations and interviews, helping our clients maintain a safe and secure working environment.
As a Private Investigator at AFIMAC, your primary responsibility will be to conduct in-depth corporate workplace investigations and interviews in the Ontario region. You will work closely with our clients to gather crucial information, assess situations, and deliver comprehensive reports. Your work will contribute to the overall safety and security of our clients' workplaces.
You will earn:
- $30.00 to $45.00 per hour before overtime.
- Hotel accommodations provided when required
- $30 per diem when lodging required
- Contract length 1-120 days
AFIMAC Workplace Investigators are deployed to various types of Corporate Workplace Investigations which involve:
- ** Investigating and Assessing workplace incidents**: including but not limited to theft, fraud, harassment, misconduct, and other corporate security issues.
- ** Interviewing Witnesses**: Conduct interviews with employees, witnesses and other relevant parties to gather information and evidence.
- ** Gathering Evidence**: Collect and document evidence, utilizing various investigative techniques and tools.
- ** Report Generation**: Create detailed and accurate investigative reports for clients, including executive summaries, findings and recommendations.
- ** Maintain Confidentiality**: Uphold strict confidentiality standards and adhere to legal and ethical guidelines throughout the investigative process.
- ** Adherence to Regulations**: Stay current on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring investigations comply with legal standards.
- ** Collaboration**: Collaborate with the AFIMAC team and clients to ensure the successful resolution of cases.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must meet the following criteria:_
- Possess a valid Private Investigator license in the province of Ontario
- Flexibility and a willingness to travel on short notice within your home province to projects for extended periods of time (minimum 4 week commitment)
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Able to sit, walk, stand, and or drive for extended periods of time
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
- Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and having the ability to de-escalate with little to no supervision
- Experience with the court injunction process
- Excellent report writing skills
- **Bonus qualifications with experience in Policing, Military and other relevant fields**
