Role Description

Laneige is looking for a motivated and organized Marketing Specialist to join our growing Canadian team. Based in our Toronto office and reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of integrated marketing programs in line with business goals and strategic priorities. This includes supporting retail assortments, visual merchandising, in-store events, and sales analysis across all distribution channels. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including retail merchant partners, US counterparts and cross functional teams.


Principal Accountabilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support in developing and executing annual and seasonal marketing calendar in conjunction with Communications & Consumer Engagement team, operations, and sales department that details product launches, promotional activities, sampling initiatives and collateral support
  • Assist with visual merchandising development and work with internal creative team to mock-up renderings
  • Manage product launch calendar and marketing support communication with sales team to ensure successful VMD, events, gratis program and product launch execution at store level
  • Prepare and help develop bi-annual retailer meetings and large-scale event planning and execution
  • Support with monthly sampling program and ordering, and ensure seamless communication with retailer and operations team]
  • Develop plan for store events including event tool kit and partner with sales team on activation protocols
  • Partner with education team to develop brand and product training tools, selling guides and other education collateral
  • Maintain product listings and track sales performance for all channels
  • Maintain marketing calendar, master product files, trackers, and assist with new product set up with all distribution channels
  • Liaise with HQ on local market support, and confirmation of new product pricing/cost/order quantities
  • Create internal reports for monthly meetings, weekly reports, and monthly marketing reports, and manage ad hoc requests as required
  • Schedule and coordinate shipments with external local vendors and warehouse
  • Monitor and track retailer and brand websites to ensure proper program execution
  • Assist in ongoing day-today administrative tasks (i.e invoice submissions, product code setup, product closet inventory and replenishment orders, packing/shipping requests)
  • Participate in brand events in-store or select activations (press launches, influencer events, consumer activations)
  • Research and analyze market trends, competitive launches and activities


Key Experience and skills

  • Experience in beauty marketing and retail environment is preferred (2-3 years)
  • Bachelor or higher degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related subject
  • Experience in marketing operations, brand communications and launch support execution
  • Understanding of customer and market dynamics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge in SAP is an asset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team but also independently, meeting deadlines and driving projects with minimal supervision
  • Effective problem solver with innovative thinking
  • Positive team player with the ability to initiate, build and nurture relationships
  • Self-starter, takes initiative to improve and start tasks that benefit business and team goals
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at times with little direction/oversight
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
