Position Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to provide Tier 1 support, with a focus on troubleshooting issues for this client's internal users. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills along with some similar working experience. This candidate should have a technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with remote monitoring systems.


****This is a 100% onsite position based out of Vancouver downtown****


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to internal users via phone, email, and in person
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues in Windows and macOS environments
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop applications and hardware
  • Set up and configure new user accounts and equipment
  • Manage and prioritize support tickets to ensure timely resolution
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support or appropriate team members
  • Create and maintain documentation for support procedures and solutions
  • Assist with basic networking tasks (e.g., connecting devices to the network, troubleshooting connectivity issues)
  • Provide basic training and guidance to end users as needed


Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in an IT Support (Level 1) role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Experience troubleshooting basic hardware issues (e.g., desktops, laptops, printers)
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and other productivity tools
  • Knowledge of remote monitoring systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Compensation & benefits:

This is a full-time and permanent position that includes a competitive base salary, extended health and dental benefits, and paid vacation, RRSP and Bonus.
