About the position

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and production areas, and developing strategies to ensure that production targets are met. He/she is responsible for coaching, developing and maintaining a safe working environment for employees. What you will do?

  • Lead a team of warehouse operators and maintain the warehouse and tank farm.
  • Supervise the preparation of mixes and the filling of products into different types of packaging
  • Verify the accuracy of orders, items received, inventory and deliveries
  • Coordinate shipping tasks
  • Perform daily warehouse inspections
  • Maintain records, communicate relevant information and prepare all necessary documentation
  • Monitor and control inventory items
  • Safeguard the health and safety of your team and the working environment by maintaining a safe and clean working environment and ensuring the appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
  • Comply with Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS regulations, as well as other company laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that your team complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform transactional processing in a warehouse management system (SAP).
  • Provide training and monitor its effectiveness
  • Sort and distribute operational documents
  • Perform other tasks as required.


What you will require:

  • Must have a High School Diploma (HSD) and one to three (1-3) years experience as a supervisor or team leader.
  • Must be a team player, reliable, responsible and possess a strong work ethic in a dynamic work environment.
  • Must have the spirit of making safety a top priority.
  • Must have good analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English (communication with colleagues, customers and suppliers based outside Quebec).
  • Must be meticulous, alert and detail-oriented.
  • Strong computer (Microsoft Office) and SAP skills.
  • Previous forklift experience and experience or knowledge of chemicals are considered assets.
  • Experience in a union environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience and knowledge of TDG and WHMIS is considered a strong asset.

Quelles seront vos tâches :

  • Diriger une équipe d'opérateurs(trices) d'entrepôt et assurer la maintenance de l'entrepôt et du parc des réservoirs
  • Superviser la préparation des mélanges et le remplissage des produits dans différents types d’emballages
  • Vérifier l'exactitude des commandes, des articles reçus, de l'inventaire et des livraisons
  • Coordonner les tâches d'expédition
  • Effectuer une inspection quotidienne de l'entrepôt
  • Tenir des registres, communiquer les informations pertinentes et préparer toute documentation nécessaire
  • Surveiller et contrôler les articles en inventaire
  • Préserver la santé et la sécurité de votre équipe et de l'environnement de travail en maintenant un environnement de travail sûr et propre et en veillant à l'utilisation appropriée des équipements de protection individuelle.
  • Respecter les règles relatives au transport des marchandises dangereuses et au SIMDUT, ainsi que d'autres lois et règlements de l'entreprise.
  • Veiller à ce que votre 'équipe respecte les politiques et les procédures de l'entreprise.
  • Effectuer des traitements transactionnels dans un système de gestion d'entrepôt (SAP)
  • Dispenser des formations et en contrôler l'efficacité
  • Trier et distribuer les documents opérationnels
  • Effectuer d'autres tâches en fonction des besoins.


Quelles sont les exigences :

  • Doit être titulaire d'un diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) et avoir une à trois (1-3) années d'expérience en tant que superviseur ou chef d'équipe.
  • Avoir l'esprit d'équipe, être fiable et responsable et posséder une solide éthique de travail dans un environnement de travail dynamique.
  • Doit avoir l'esprit de faire de la sécurité une priorité absolue.
  • Doit avoir un bon esprit d'analyse
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication écrite et orale en français et en anglais (communication avec des collègues, clients et fournisseurs qui sont basés à l'extérieur du Québec)
  • Doit être minutieux, alerte et soucieux du détail
  • Avoir de solides compétences en informatique (Microsoft Office) et SAP
  • Une expérience préalable avec un chariot élévateur et une expérience ou une connaissance des produits chimiques sont considérées comme des atouts.
  • Une expérience en milieu syndicale est considérée comme un atout
  • L'expérience et la connaissance du TMD et du SIMDUT sont considérées comme un atout important.
