Account Payable Specialist

About the company:

This client is a Real Estate management company with a diverse portfolio of properties with buildings varied in type and size, including (but not limited to) office buildings, industrial complexes, and retail centers.


About the Role:

  • Receive invoices submitted by email and mail, upload to cloud-based A/P partnership program, code the invoices and follow up with the Property Managers for approval.
  • Issue payments in the office and through A/P partnership program.
  • Assist senior accounting team with Budget Preparation for approval by Property Managers.
  • Assist senior accounting team with Reconciliation of expenses pursuant to commercial leases.
  • Issue residential rent increase notices for Property Managers to sign, update tenant ledger with increase.
  • Trust Account Bank Reconciliations
  • General Ledger Journal Entries
  • Taking deposits to various bank branches as needed
  • Help senior accounting team with preparation of GST, Parking Tax Levy and Worksafe BC Returns


Requirements:

  • seeking candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant accounting/bookkeeping education
