Summary of Position

The Marketing role is responsible for implementing the Marketing and Communications Strategy for HAMILTON in Canada including planning, implementation and management of the local Canada communication plans, strategic trade marketing plans and creative animations for the brand to achieve brand awareness, targeted sell-out and profit within the constraints of a set budget. Ensure brand desirability is enhanced in all activities. 

 

Role Description:

Lead with the Brand Manager on the development and successful implementation of the brand & trade marketing plans which develop HAMILTON in Canada in line with the global strategy to deliver key brand metrics, wholesale and retail objectives.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

PR & COMMS

  • Localise the global communication strategy and activate the global marketing calendar for the Canadian market 
  • Develop and drive a robust Canadian PR and communications media plan, executed across the year to support brand announcements, product launches, and key events
  • In line with global guidance, execute local influencer plan and deploy influencer gifting. Identify and build relationships with prominent influencers in the jewellery and watch industry
  • Execute local events and trade partnerships to meet market KPIs (e.g. in store, influencer, selling events)
  • Responsible for the development and printing of any local collateral needed to support the Canadian local marketing and communication plans and briefing any required copy to central copy team
  • Lead any retailer co-funded paid media activations 
  • Submitting regular performance reports to central comms teams. Track and monitor key competitor activity at all time

 

TRADE MARKETING

  • Work with Sales team, to define, pitch and implement Trade Marketing activity plans with all key retailers
  • Develop bespoke cross channel retail strategies and establish excellent relationships with retailers to reinforce brand equity and drive sales
  • Develop ad hoc local activities and POS elements to support strategy when required
  • Manage presentation of all launches and events internally and externally
  • Ensure Trade Marketing is focused on accelerating sell out and ROI and consumer centric
  • Occasionally visits HAMILTON points-of-sales


DIGITAL MARKETING

  •  Plans and supports digital marketing strategies for retail partner co-funded paid activations
  • Knowledge in SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns
  • Measures and reports performance of retail co-funded digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
  • Plans, executes, and measures experiments and conversion tests.


CONSUMER ENGAGEMENT

  • Define retailer animation plans (POSM, events, in-store media, etc.) in line with product launches and business priorities
  • Weekly updates on trade marketing support to field team

 

BUDGET AND FORECASTING

  • Ownership of samples and GWP allocation to ensure the Sales & field teams have sufficient quantities as and when needed
  • Work closely with the sales team during the budget process to forecast samples and GWPs for new and basic launches
  • Accountable for ensuring that the budget tracker is always up-to-date and within allocated budget
