Our Occupational Therapist will provide in-person assessment and treatment services to children and adolescents with varying needs. We hope that working at WonderTree leads to a feeling of being supported and appreciated.

A little about you:

  • You are interested in working with children with developmental differences and other neurodiverse children and teens
  • You are interested in assessment driven intervention
  • You are interested in working in Orangeville
  • You have a strong aptitude for report writing and attention to detail 
  • You have a Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy and are currently licensed with COTO
  • You are interested in working within a multi-disciplinary team (including psychologists, neuropsychologists, speech and language pathologists, social workers, etc.)
  • You ideally have 4+ experience in a health care setting, clinic or in the community, and specific experience working with neurodiverse or high medical needs youth as an occupational therapist targeting areas such as fine motor skills, sensory needs, daily living skills, etc.
  • You are able to communicate effectively with clients, families and members of the interdisciplinary care team


Our clinicians provide assessment, consultation, and treatment to youth within a family centered care model. Our clinic provides evidence-based interventions and prides itself on interventions founded on a well-done initial assessment. Our assessments may explore a youth’s ability to care for themselves, interact with their environment, regulate their emotions. and fine motor/gross motor skills. Based on the evaluation a treatment plan will be created to target key skills. Sensory assessments and skills may also be a target of sessions.

Job Types: Part-time independent contractor


Salary: $75.00-$90.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required but considered an asset


Schedule:

  • Part time work, primarily afternoons/evening Mon-Fri or weekends


Education:
