The Position

The Sales & Marketing Specialist role is a key support function to both the Sales and Marketing Teams. In this role, you will work closely with the local Channel Managers, Sales Account Managers, and the Digital Team. The Sales & Marketing Specialist is responsible for digital content updates across all online platforms, answering questions & reviews, managing order inquiries, help setup & manage customer shows etc.


Responsibilities


Digital Content: Work with the Digital Marketing Specialist, Channel Managers and Sales Account Managers to add new products to online platforms and enhance existing product content.

Ecommerce: Work with the Ecommerce Sales Manager and the Digital Marketing Specialist to update product pages, pricing & promotions, update and review market comp, run weekly reports to manage inventory, remove discontinued SKUs, manage and update new product registration, respond to customer service inquiries etc.

Customer Shows & Special Events: Work with the Sales & Marketing teams to help organize and manage customer shows and special events.

Translations: Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing Teams to gather, prepare, submit and manage content translations.

Reviews: Work with the Channel Managers to respond to customer reviews and inquires on various platforms (Bazaar Voice, Sprout, Amazon etc.) while identifying any redundant issues that are being highlighted for specific products that may be potential product defects.

Inventory Allocation: Help manage and allocate inventory against customer orders.

Amazon: Manage new product listings, enhance product content (A+ pages), coordinate and resolve Andon Cord issues, monitor pricing etc.

Walmart: Manage new product listings, enhance product content (A+ pages), coordinate, run weekly fill rate reports, monitor pricing etc.

Marketing Communication: Help send marketing related communication to all employees within Canada to keep them updated on various marketing related activities.

Product Launches and Line Reviews: Support the Sales & Marketing teams in line review and launching new products.

 

Experience 

·      Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar

·      Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (CPG environment)

·      Relevant category experience – personal and pet grooming

·      Major account experience – Walmart, Amazon, Canadian Tire, Loblaws, Costco

·      Experience with the following systems i.e. Retail Link, Vendor & Seller Central, Shopify, Salsify, Bazaar

·      E-commerce experience

 

Skills

·      Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

·      Self-starter, well-organized and detail-oriented, advanced problem-solving and analytical skills

·      Demonstrates curiosity about what drives business trends and customer behaviors

·      Proven ability to work effectively with teams, strong communication and interpersonal skills

·      Excellent time management skills, demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize
