Job Overview:

As a Field Service Technician, you will be the on-site expert, providing critical support to clients in the manufacturing industry. Your role involves visiting sites to install, repair, and troubleshoot high-speed monitoring and inspection systems. Your objective is to enhance system performance and offer recommendations for improvements. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as you will need to understand and address client issues clearly.

Workplace Type

•Hybrid (employees work on-site and off-site)

•75% travelling (maximum).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Provide on-site service and customer support during field visits.
  • Apply IT principles and computer network configuration knowledge.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Engage in hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Generate detailed and timely service reports.
  • Assess customer needs and make relevant recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships and instill confidence with mill operators.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of field experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, cameras or machine vision (training provided).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Valid Class 5 driving license.
  • Fluency in English; French is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and the United States.
