Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at EssilorLuxottica Group. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers through direct service, ensuring their satisfaction with our assistance regarding equipment installation, usage, maintenance, updating, troubleshooting, and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and calibrate equipment at client sites, occasionally from the office.
  • Provide telephone technical support to clients, technicians, and sales representatives to identify problems and provide solutions.
  • Train clients on equipment usage and operation.
  • Rebuild used equipment for resale and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Plan and manage workshop and field service calls with sales representatives.
  • Register cases as work orders and report travel schedules.
  • Update databases after each service call and produce weekly reports of repairs and trips.
  • Prepare equipment for demonstrations at client sites and optical shows.
  • Visit existing clients for periodic follow-ups and participate in optical trade shows.
Requirements
  • College degree in Electromechanical or related field, with optical knowledge an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical services.
  • Network and IT knowledge, with good communication skills and a valid driving license.
  • Able to lift up to 35 kg (75 pounds) and work flexible hours with frequent travel and overnight stays.

We offer a competitive salary range of $52,377.33 - $85,366.33, plus a bonus and commission plan, and a comprehensive total rewards package including health care, retirement savings, paid time off, and employee discounts.
