Durham Continuing Education is the Durham District School Board’s program for its adult daytime program as well as many continuing education programs. While the core business of Continuing Education is funded by the Ministry of Education, partnerships with MLITSD, IRCC, MCI and MCSS support Continuing Education programming.

Durham Continuing Education is actively seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Permanent LINC/ESL Instructor - Afternoons Only, In-person

Location: To Be Determined (DCE OSHAWA - 120 Centre St South, Oshawa or DCE PICKERING - 1400 Bayly St, Unit 1, Pickering)

Work schedule: Monday-Friday: 12:00pm - 3:00pm (3 hours per day)

* This is currently scheduled as an in-person class but may change at any time or as directed by funders.

Qualifications

Must be TESL Ontario certified and TESL Ontario membership in good standing

Experience working with adults an asset

Successful completion of PBLA training

Successful completion of Avenue training

Comfort and experience working in an online learning environment preferred

Vulnerable Sector Criminal Background Check is required
