Requirements: The ideal candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:

Bachelor of Education, Masters degree in Educational Leadership or Special Education.

Candidate must hold an Alberta Teaching Certificate.

Supervise Inclusive Education Program Eligibility, Delivery and related duties.

Liaise with community agencies and services providers.

Provide support for IPP delivery and behaviour support for school staff in VIP, Skills and Life Skills.

Provide support to LACs for Special Education needs.

Student centred approach to instruction and teacher-student relationships.

Ability to design, program, and implement instruction for students with special needs.

Supporting students to increase independence, enhance self-esteem and improve social/interpersonal skills.

Effective organizational skills and classroom management.

Ability to process and manage confidential records.

Ability to work with parents, social agencies and support organizations.

Strong ability to connect with families and school staff.

Provide classroom consultation and behaviour support.

Successful experience working with students with a broad spectrum of learning needs.

Previous administrative experience is an asset.

Be a reflective practitioner.

A strong Literacy and Numeracy background.
