About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated intermediate to senior mechanical engineer to join our dynamic team. As an intermediate mechanical engineer, you must possess a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards, and can work independently on moderately complex projects. You will work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer but are expected to take ownership of their tasks and provide guidance to junior engineers. Your responsibilities will include:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical engineering calculations and analysis, including drainage, plumbing and HVAC
  • Load calculations.
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including drainage, plumbing and HVAC.
  • Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and codes.
  • Quality control and quality assurance of the mechanical design documents.

Relevant Experience & Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • You have 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering design.
  • P.Eng in the province of Ontario.
  • Having P.Eng Quebec and New Brunswick are strong assets.
  • You have strong interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Being bilingual (French and English) is a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards (e.g. OBC, NBC,ASHRAE, CAN/CSA, NFPA, etc).
  • Knowledge of Carrier HAP is a strong asset.
  • You are a good communicator
  • You are a person who takes responsibility to achieve the organizational goals and ensure all requirements of the organization is met.
  • You are a person of strong character and you have a willingness to learn the skills necessary to be successful in your leadership role.
  • You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

General

  • Must provide clean criminal record and drivers abstract
  • Valid Driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range $80,000 to $105,000 based on experience
