Background

New Brunswick is transitioning from multiple legacy hospital information systems to a unified Clinical Information Solution (CIS). The JIRA Administrator will support this initiative by optimizing JIRA across various project streams.

Role Overview

SNB seeks a JIRA Administrator to configure, manage, and optimize JIRA for the CIS Consolidation Project. The candidate will work closely with project teams, ensuring effective use of JIRA, resolving issues, and delivering training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide JIRA training and support to project teams.
  • Collaborate with project leads to gather requirements and configure JIRA accordingly.
  • Design and implement custom JIRA solutions, including workflows, fields, screens, and permissions.
  • Optimize JIRA usage based on best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve JIRA-related issues.
  • Develop training materials and conduct learning sessions.
  • Promote new features and best practices to improve project efficiency.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Education: University degree in Business Administration or IT OR equivalent combination of college diploma and experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years in JIRA administration and configuration.
  • Availability: Must be available to start on or about March 12, 2025.
  • Resume: Maximum 5 pages, focusing on scored requirements and deliverables.

Scored Requirements

  • JIRA Administration & Configuration: Expertise in user account management, JQL, APIs, custom templates, dashboards, and reports (10 years).
  • Project Management Tools Deployment: Experience in ensuring optimal use of Atlassian tools across multiple project streams (6 years).
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to work independently and engage with team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders (10 years).
  • JIRA Training: Experience in developing and delivering JIRA training via various methods (3 years).
  • Public Sector/Healthcare Experience: Knowledge of New Brunswick's healthcare policies and practices (preferred).
  • Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Developer (preferred).

Deliverables

  • Define and document JIRA tool requirements.
  • Implement and maintain JIRA configurations.
  • Develop training plans and materials.
  • Provide regular progress reports to program management.
