About the Job:

The position greets and acts as the first point of contact for visitors and employees when they enter the VELUX Canada office. This position also supports purchasing and property tasks and other various duties and projects.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and process in – person credit card payments.
  • Administrative duties – manage and schedule various appointments, mail and cheque processing, order office supplies, manage hotel arrangements.
  • Assist with property management; arrange for contractors for property – repairs, maintenance, etc.
  • Office maintenance and support – oversee the functionality of office equipment, manage dishwasher, and ensure office areas are stocked and well-maintained etc.
  • Manage promotional supplies.
  • Update reports, support with disputing dealer fines.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as needed.
  • Special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • 2 Years of experience in an office setting is an asset.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email, Microsoft Teams/Zoom etc.).
  • Good time-management and task prioritization abilities.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Project a positive and professional image.
  • Overall good work, attendance and safety record.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.

Job Type: Full-Time Contract (7 months with the possibility of an extension)

Normal Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with 1 hour for lunch

This is an on-site position which requires coming to the office five times a week.
