Travaillant en collaboration avec les concepteurs électronique, le candidat participera au développement de produits associés aux systèmes de détection d'incendies, comprenant des panneaux de contrôles d’alarmes incendies (CPU, écran tactile, boutons), des cartes réseau (Ethernet, fibre optique, SHDSL), des systèmes de communication audio (amplification, numérique et analogique), des unités de détection (fumée, température, CO2, etc.) et d'avertissement (klaxon, haut-parleur, stroboscope xénon, LED, etc.) Ce poste offre un travail stimulant avec des opportunités intéressante dans tous les domaines de l‘électronique, tant analogique que numérique. Responsabilités

  • Travailler à partir de procédures de tests fonctionnels et de pré-certifications pour effectuer des essais sur des prototypes de cartes électroniques et recueillir les données à des fins d’analyses
  • Travailler à partir de schémas électroniques et autre dessins techniques pour effectuer la vérification et le débogage de circuits analogiques et numériques
  • Assembler et configurer des systèmes de détection d’incendies et ses différentes composantes pour être utilisé lors de tests de prototypes
  • Utiliser et entretenir l’équipement de tests et de diagnostiques, y compris les oscilloscopes, les générateurs de signaux, les analyseurs logiques et de spectres, les chambres environnementales, les équipements pour tests d’immunités, et plusieurs autres
  • Réaliser des modifications de circuits sur des prototypes et procéder à l’assemblage de circuits de tests sur des PCB lorsque requis

Exigences spécifiques

  • Diplôme d’Études Collégiale en électronique (DEC) ou équivalent
  • De 3 à 7 ans d’expérience comme technicien électronique (multimètre, oscilloscope, soudure électronique)
  • Avoir la capacité d’apprendre rapidement et être axé sur les résultats
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la résolution de problèmes et au dépannage
  • Solide esprit d’équipe et très bonnes habiletés interpersonnelles
  • Apte à communiquer efficacement, tant à l'oral que par écrit
  • Doit être bilingue français et anglais

Working with the electrical designers, the candidate will participate to the development of electronic cards used in commercial & industrial fire alarm products including fire alarm control panels (CPU, touchscreen, buttons), networking (Ethernet, optic fiber, SHDSL), audio communication (amplifier, digital, analog), as well as monitoring (smoke, temperature, CO2, etc.) and notification devices (horn, speaker, strobe xenon or LED). This is a challenging position with interesting opportunities in all areas of analog and digital electronics. JCI also propose flexible working hours as well as a pleasant workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Work from functional and pre-certification test plans to execute testing on electronic prototypes and collect data for analysis
  • Work from schematics and other technical drawings to perform low level hardware verification and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits
  • Set up and configure fire alarm panels and different peripherals to be used during prototype testing
  • Use and maintain test equipment including oscilloscope, signal generators, logic and spectrum analyzers, environmental chamber, immunity testing equipment and many more
  • Perform reworks on prototypes and realize test boards when required

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) in electronics or equivalent
  • 3 to 7 years of experience as a laboratory technician (multimeter, oscilloscope, electronics soldering)
  • Have the capacity to learn quickly and be results oriented
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong team player with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written
  • Must be bilingual in French and English
