JOB SUMMARY

We currently have an Inside Sales Position available in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. This is an in-person role and requires the candidate to live in or near the area. The compensation package is highly competitive.

The Inside Sales Representative will report to the Branch Manager and should be a self-motivated team player with advanced sales skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling their products and/or services primarily via telephone and internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing). The Inside Sales Representative will also be expected to demonstrate leadership in maximizing sales revenue and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


• Through telephone and internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.), respond to customer inquiries, and offer guidance on appropriate services and/or products.


• Sell services and wear-resistant products such as ceramics, abrasion resistant metals, stainless and other related products.


• Work in tandem with branch manager and other sales representatives to achieve sales goals and revenue targets.


• Execute sales strategy, identify new opportunities/leads, and generate new opportunities.


• Recognized as an authority within industry and/or area of specialization.


• Demonstrates mastery of sales techniques.


• Responsible for development of new accounts and/or generating new business from existing accounts, and ongoing maintenance and service.


• Through various effective customer centric approaches, connect, build trust, and establish meaningful relationships with current and potential customers in Fort McMurray.


• Convert qualified leads into clients by effectively engaging them through the Marketing & Sales Funnel via tailored discovery discussions, requirements gathering, and meaningful solutions introduction.


• Optimize customers satisfaction and retention by supporting customers through each stage as part of the company customer experience program and create sales reports.


• Identify opportunities to cross sell, upsell, and renew deals with customers.


• Review customers' inquiries documentations to determine appropriate products and/or services selection, including creation of order notations related to exceptions and deviations.


• Respond to customers' requests (clarification on quotation, and purchase order requirements.


• Assist, as needed, with technical advice for products and/or services, day-to-day operations, sales initiatives such as products' presentations, Trade Show participation, product training, clients' visits…


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the company CRM system of all important customer correspondence, quotations, commitments, contracts, etc.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE


• Minimum 5-6 years of experience as a technical inside sales representative or equivalent client-facing experience with technical products in the process/manufacturing field, and with demonstrated success.


• Successful in presenting and selling complex technical solutions to executives, management, field and engineering personnel from organizations in the industrial field.


• Good technical level understanding of at least one of the following activities within the manufacturing field: wear-resistant products, instrumentation, valves, strainers, pumps, and fittings.


• Successful experience in customers' accounts ongoing maintenance and service (An asset).

EDUCATION


• Bachelor's Degree in Sales, and/or Business Development, and/or equivalent education/training/experience.

SKILLS/COMPETENCES


• Broad knowledge of the industrial process/manufacturing field.


• Proven mastery of Sales techniques, so that they can naturally identify improvement opportunities, and know when it is time to close a deal.


• Demonstrated ability to perform highly without supervision, and to be self-motivated.


• Maintains an influential network of contacts with highly visible industry presence.


• Strong technical expertise, and the proven ability to remain current with respect to industry trends, provincial and federal legislative policies and changes.


• Strong negotiation skills, and the ability to close complex deals.


• Demonstrated ability to communicate, and present effectively to others.


• Proven organizational and time management skills.


• Strong commitment to service and bring value to others.


• Ability, and willingness to learn new platforms/products/solutions.


• Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.


• Ability to demonstrate confidence and establish trust with our customers.


• Detail and results-oriented; able to balance multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
