Description of Role:

The Manager, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Regulatory and Compliance department with a Brokerage company, while providing answers and support to clients (internal and external) of a technical nature, including integration inquiries and general account set up. Ensure that new regulations issued by CBSA are communicated, implemented and complied with.

  • Provide support to sales department regarding new account set-ups, implement integration

tools and answer client queries

  • Act as advisor to clients regarding customs legislation, new initiatives, compliance and

regulations while identifying regulatory opportunities as obtaining rulings and duty deferral applications

  • Provide direction to and oversee the performance of the department
  • Create and maintain reporting structure in CRM individually per client
  • Approve newsflash's for distribution to clients and branch
  • Identify and recommend QC cases to help reduce errors
  • Work toward departmental goals i.e. win to start
  • Meet with team weekly for updates
  • Stay current with upcoming regulatory changes impacting the Willson International client base
  • Ensure all new CBSA/PGA initiatives are communicated to VP
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure goals are met while providing the best service to our clients
  • Hold a position and be active on a board or committee relative to Regulatory requirements
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Must have experience in a brokerage setting
  • All other duties as assigned
