Job Summary

This role requires a Business Development Specialist with deep expertise in Data Platforms and consultancy services to oversee the vision, architecture, and development of the company's business. The role demands a strong background in data-driven environment, and team mentorship to support and accelerate our sales growth across North America Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Generate leads through events and existing relationships, do account mapping, and targeted prospect outreach with specific solutions.
  • Develop Sales Materials: Create and refine pitch decks and presentations for client engagements, showcasing expertise in data engineering, data science, data analytics, SAS-to-R conversion, and ProCogia's general capabilities.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct independent services sales calls with prospective clients, effectively communicating ProCogia's value proposition. Understand client goals and needs and address their inquiries. Own & drive the Client Planning documents and meetings between consultants, management, and clients.
  • Client Education: Educate clients on advanced topics like data modernization, cloud migrations, and AI governance to establish ProCogia as a thought leader.
  • Emerging Trends Advocacy: Identify and recommend new technologies, frameworks, or methodologies that could enhance ProCogia's offerings.
  • Use Case Development: Identify and document use cases that demonstrate ProCogia's technical expertise and business impact.
  • Follow-Up: Maintain regular follow-ups with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional collaboration.
  • Cross-Selling and Upselling: Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell ProCogia's services to existing clients.
  • Market Research: Analyze market trends and client needs to tailor solutions that align with ProCogia's offerings.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with technical teams to draft tailored proposals and statements of work (SOWs).
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and ISV partners to foster long-term collaboration. Partner with ISV sales team for account locking and planning new influenced revenue.
  • Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with delivery teams to ensure alignment between client needs and ProCogia's technical capabilities.
  • Review: Work with delivery teams to track monthly progress against plan; prepare QBR decks.
  • Pipeline Management: Use CRM tools to track and manage leads, opportunities, and sales progress.
  • Track and measure sales performance metrics
  • Training and Development: Stay up to date on ProCogia's services, including emerging trends in AI, data platforms, and analytics, to enhance client interactions.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field. MBA is a plus.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in business development, pre-sales, or sales within the data consulting or technology industry.
  • Demonstrated experience creating client-facing presentations and pitch materials.

Technical Acumen:

  • Good understanding of data engineering, data science, data analytics, and SAS-to-R conversion.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, etc is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and effectively managing the sales lifecycle.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify client needs and craft solutions that address their challenges effectively.
  • Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), Microsoft Office Suite, and presentation software.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
