Our client is a leading provider of cutting-edge communication solutions, including RF and antenna products. They are currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.


This role will work closely with other departments to launch new products, executing productivity projects with the desired costs, quality, and efficiency.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for leading, planning, directing, and coordinating the development and execution of manufacturing system strategic objectives.
  • Assures that all quality requirements, engineering testing requirements & standards are included in all work and/or working instructions, testing procedures and other documentations.
  • Provide standard operation training to production or relevant personnel.
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production to investigate root cause and come up with correction, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Lead cross-functional team to drive cost reduction during product life cycle.
  • Recommend product changes/improvements to Design Engineers based upon PFMEA’s and manufacturability, determine effectivity of changes and assure compliance to such.
  • Participate in early new product development activities as Operations’ Representative; ensure Design for Manufacturability and cost effective.
  • Support necessary personnel for internal, customer and third-party quality system audits.
  • Support customer quotation and technical inquire.
  • Occasional business travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Mechatronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Degree/Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering experience in a low volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Solid knowledge in hardware/software test or validation methodology and proficient documentation capability, including test report, RCA (Root cause analysis) etc.
  • Good experience of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA) is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of ERP software, BOM structures, routings, Engineering Change process and non-conforming process.
  • Project management/coordination experience is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills (including AutoCAD/Solid Works – latest version, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Visio)
