Job description


The Basic Material North American team is growing in the dynamic market, and we are looking for a team player comfortable with remote working for the position of Sales Service Coordinator. This position requires experience in logistics and customer service. The candidate will coordinate between suppliers, customers, transportation companies and internal requirements. The candidate will organize the transportation of freight within NA, both rail cars and trucks. This position requires 5 years’ experience in logistics and customer service. We look for a person who has worked with the Hazmat regulations in North America. This position reports to the Operations Manager located in Sweden.


Key responsibilities

· Manage the order handling process including import, shipment coordination, customs clearing, Hazmat compliance, documents handling and customer delivery /warehouse delivery.

· Book and co-ordinate transportation.

· Daily contact with customers, suppliers, brokers, logistic firms, and transportation companies.

· Daily contact with the sales team in North America and Accounting.

· Authorize supplier payments, and invoice customers in a timely manner.

· Ensure relevant payment instruments are used to secure payment.

· Manage/understand the domestic and international rules and regulations that govern the shipments of chemical.


Skills & Requirements

· Experience in Logistics, like handling truck booking, warehouses, drumming

· Experience in operations for international trade, Chemical Commodity

· Hazmat and GHS trained. EPA, FDA and EHS experience is a plus

· Knowledge of incoterms

· Knowledge of ISF and ACI procedure an asset

· Problem solving skills

· Customer-oriented, detailed-oriented, structured and responsible

· Ability to prioritize and work management in pressure situations

· Positive attitude, ability to adapt to all situations, and interested in learning new things

· The ability to work independently while still functioning as a team

· MS Office

Languages: Fluent in English
