About the client:
Our client specializes in custom plastic injection molding and extrusion manufacturing. They operate nine extrusion lines continuously to meet various production needs. The company emphasizes its expertise in plastic manufacturing and prides itself on delivering high-quality custom solutions for its clients.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various machines (lathes, CNC mills, EDM) and use precision instruments for tool fabrication.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Test, inspect, and troubleshoot custom or modified tooling.
- Recommend repairs or modifications to existing tools.
- Ensure quality and accuracy in finished tools and dies.
- Collaborate with engineers on new tooling designs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and dies.
- Document and report on tooling performance.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with EDM wire cutting, particularly Fanuc EDM (required).
- Experience with CNC machines, especially Cincinnati (required).
- Ability to work with CAD files, Mastercam, and related software (required).
- Familiarity with manual machining equipment (preferred).
- Knowledge of vacuum and sizers (preferred).
- Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification (preferred).
- Red Seal in Tool and Die Making (preferred).
- Experience with die polishing (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
