Senior Change & Communications Lead
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Large Complex Clinical IT Projects:
- More than 4 years of experience working on large, complex clinical IT projects.
- Senior Change Lead Experience:
- More than 1 year of experience as a Senior Change Lead for clinical projects/programs.
- Experience leading change management efforts for projects/programs that impact primary care physicians and clinicians.
- Clinical System Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of clinical systems, care delivery processes, and clinical roles.
- Understanding of clinical policies, and clinical standards in the Canadian healthcare context.
- Change Management Expertise:
- Demonstrable experience applying change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proven ability to develop and implement change and communication strategies for complex projects/programs.
- Communication and Engagement:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with audiences at all levels.
- Experience in developing and delivering clear messages for complex topics to various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage stakeholder engagement and influence diverse groups toward a common vision.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in facilitating meetings, preparing reports, and managing sensitive discussions effectively.
- Leadership in Change and Communication Strategy:
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and communication efforts, and develop and implement strategies for clinical and business changes.
- Experience in leading change management and communications efforts for clinical environments.
- Analytical and Organizational Skills:
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to develop well-considered, logical, and justifiable solutions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle complex project tasks and meet deadlines.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
- Familiarity with project management tools and real-world best practices.
- Problem-Solving and Conflict Management:
- Experience handling sensitive and challenging situations and mitigating potential risks and issues.
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common goal or vision.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Diploma in Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications:
- Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification (preferred).
- Prosci Certified Change Practitioner or higher.
- Certified Scrum Master certification.
Key Responsibilities for the Role:
- Apply structured change management methodologies to lead activities aimed at ensuring successful adoption of project changes.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders and their needs.
- Develop and execute engagement strategies and communication plans to support user readiness and deployment activities.
- Support the design and delivery of user readiness training programs.
- Manage the creation of key communications and other documentation for senior management and governance working groups.
- Oversee the development of business, clinical, and technical analysis, process re-engineering activities, and identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and teams to address any resistance and ensure a smooth transition during the project lifecycle.
