About Us

We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Castlefrank Elementary School.

Castlefrank ES has approximately 325 students in JK to grade 3 enrolled in the Regular English Program and Early French Immersion Program. Castlefranks staff are dedicated to life-long learning; constantly upgrading their skills by taking part in after-school workshops, summer courses, and curriculum development work shops through out the year. Our classes included an LLD class as well as lots of outdoor education, starting in Kindergarten with a strong forest school component.Working together teachers plan and update units of study for classroom use.

Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Boards (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education in the school, and the District, by creating a positive and inclusive school climate, learning and workplace environment. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human rights and equity perspective, to foster student success, achievement and well-being.

Eligibility List

All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified.

If you are fully external to the OCDSB, you may apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications. Please be advised that our order of consideration for Elementary LTO's is as follows: 1) current elementary occasional teacher applicants, followed by 2) qualified external applicants.
