What you will do:

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated engineering solutions are developed and implemented.
  • Utilize computational tools and software to perform structural analysis and simulations.
  • Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Address and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Review and approve design documents, calculations, and project deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on structural engineering matters.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Produce technical reports and memos to support design.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor' degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • 5+ years plus of experience in steel bridge construction and design.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software packages as required.
  • P.Eng. certification in Ontario or other Canadian province(s)
  • Familiar with structural design software and drawing tools (ie AutoCAD, Solidworks, RISA, SAP and similar)
  • Knowledge of applicable design codes (CSA S-6, AASHTO LRFD) an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Engineering standards
  • Ability to optimize designs and product costs to help win projects against competitors
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to create alternative solutions to problems
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
