Job Title: Pipe Fitter Supervisor

Reporting to: Production Manager

On-site/ Remote/ Hybrid: On Site

Location: Port Weller, ON

Job Type: Permanent


Job Responsibilities:


  • Communicate work plans/instructions, allocate work, and craft task schedules (e.g., weekly, biweekly, monthly)
  • Supervise, lead, train, and manage allotted manpower
  • Read/interpret drawings and specifications to understand the scope of work
  • Install and maintain piping and associated systems adhering to acts and regulations to company standards
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures, to minimize downtime and maintenance costs, and manage equipment efficiencies
  • Operating accessory equipment for pipe fitting (pipe beveling, pipe threading, pipe cutting, torch or plasma cutter, drill press)
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal pipe, valves, and fittings.


Required Skills:


  • H2S Alive
  • Confined Space Entry and/or Rescue
  • CSTS 09
  • Understanding of control systems is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situation.
  • CWB Certified is an asset
  • Possession of a Pipefitter/Steamfitter Certificate of Qualification (307A), journeyperson status, and/or Red Seal Endorsement is an asset.
  • Marine experience in a Shipyard.
