Huron Pest Control Inc. is a small, local, family-owned business located in the Grand Bend area. We specialize in ants, spiders, wasps, and mice but can handle just about any pest infestation with confidence and care.

Huron Pest Control is looking for two full time seasonal pest control technicians to join our team. The successful applicants will be responsible for identifying and managing various types of pests, customer service, safely operating a company vehicle, managing chemical storage, record keeping and working quickly but accurately to keep on schedule.

Job responsibilities:
·       Inspect buildings, identify pests and recommend appropriate pest control options
Safely apply pesticides in and around customers’ homes and businesses.
·       Physically remove trapped or exterminated pests
·       Identify and recommend additional pest control opportunities to customers
·       Follow workplace health and safety procedures and government mandated pesticide safety instructions
·       Keep work vehicle tidy and stocked with tools and equipment
·       Coordinate services with customers and handle complaints in a friendly and professional manner
·       Accurately log billable hours and submit them biweekly
·       Keep accurate pest control application records and submit them daily

Qualifications and skills:
·       High school diploma or GED
·       No experience necessary but Ontario pest control license is an asset
·       Valid G driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation; will be asked to provide driver’s abstract
·       Strong mathematical skills and ability to convert measurements
·       Physical requirements include sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, crawling, lifting and carrying at least 60lbs, and climbing ladders
·       Strong planning, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
·       Great attention to detail, positive attitude, eagerness to learn and strong work ethic
·       Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills
Able to follow Egglish written and verbal instructions
