We’re looking for a digital designer, reporting to the design team leader, to help bring the design studio’s projects to life. In this role, you will have a direct impact on innovative and spectacular concepts You’ll be at the forefront of shaping products at the digital 3D shaping stage.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Create digital styling models from sketches or preliminary 3D files using Alias Surface software.
Develop proportions, refine surface quality and propose alternatives to designers.
Participate in the styling development of recreational vehicles and/or their accessories.
Integrate technical and ergonomic envelope parameters.
Prepare 2D presentation material and real-time 3D visualization using VRED Design software.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A bachelor’s degree in transportation design or product design.
Training as a digital sculptor, digital designer or surface modeller using Alias Surface software.
Experience designing vehicles or products with complex shapes.
The ability to communicate in French and English in order to collaborate with our external teams.
Advanced knowledge of design fundamentals: proportions, mass/volume, dynamics and silhouette.
Knowledge of light and shadow principles, and parallax effects (Mickey Ear, parallax crossover).
Knowledge of design trends and surface treatments.
Keeping up to date with the latest digital modelling methodologies.
