Role Purpose :


The Drill Rig operator will work on various sites for GIP throughout the Greater Toronto Region.

  • Loading, unloading and securing drilling equipment and supplies
  • Complete daily equipment inspections and maintain equipment.
  • Ensure safety procedures and protocols are followed.
  • Exhibits workmanship and an ability to execute all the duties of an Operator safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Comprehends the importance of dependability and consistency in a high-performance team environment.
  • Undertakes required steps of a Field Level Hazard Assessment (FLHA).
  • Receives materials accurately.
  • Proactively manages worksite.


Position Requirements :

  • 339A hoisting ticket and drill ticket for 270KN-m torque and higher is required
  • Experience drilling in Kelly mode, CFA, or under slurry
  • Basic construction tools and quality assurance skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor construction environment.
