**Responsibilities**:

- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, tanks and production machines.
- Observe equipment concerns and initiate corrective action/repair.
- Install, commission and maintain test rig hydraulic systems and/or components.
- Communicate with Supervisors, Operators, and incoming/outgoing mechanics to determine daily priorities.
- Complete shift inspections, examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions, and complete work orders and parts requisitions.
- Enhance equipment performance, recommend and implement improvements. Participate in Test Rig and Test Hydraulic design reviews. Understand and carry out preventive maintenance procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Graduation from a technical college with Maintenance technician certification or equivalent
- 433A industrial millwright or/and 442A industrial electrician trade certificate is an asset
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing Industry.
- Knowledge of CNC and PLC controlled machines (Siemens; Fanuc and other major control manufacture )
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and machine tools (drills, mag drills, grinders, reciprocating saws, chop saws, band saws, lathes, and mills)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and hydraulic schematics
- Experience with fabrication and welding.
