Our client, a leading civil engineering and mining firm, seeks a skilled Project Controls Specialist to join their growing team. In this crucial role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of their mining projects by overseeing and optimizing project control functions.


Key Responsibilities:


- Project Controls Optimization: Implement and refine project control processes to enhance overall project performance, budget adherence, and schedule execution.

- Schedule and Resource Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans that align with project objectives.

- Progress Monitoring and Risk Mitigation: Vigilantly monitor project progress, proactively identifying potential risks and delays, and propose effective mitigation strategies.

- Collaborative Alignment: Collaborate closely with project teams, including engineers, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.

- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver clear, insightful project reports to stakeholders, emphasizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field (or relevant experience in project controls).

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project controls within the civil engineering, mining, or related construction industries.

- Strong understanding of project control principles, methodologies, and best practices.

- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

- Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.

- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and strong analytical skills in Microsoft Excel.
