What are we looking for?

We’re looking for an experienced SaaS startup marketer who is comfortable and confident in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be responsible for developing materials, testing new channels, and helping us redefine a marketing function that will support scalable and repeatable go-to-market processes and playbooks. This means you can establish an effective marketing function at a SaaS startup in an environment where you need to work independently and collaboratively across functions in the company.

This is a unique opportunity to help us redefine our marketing function and drive success at a fast-growing startup. If you’re energized by the opportunity to establish, build, and scale a team to support Headversity’s mission-driven expansion, this role may be perfect for you.

You will be responsible for refining and establishing foundational elements of Headversity’s marketing activities, as well as updating assets and tactics that’ll help drive our go-to-market strategy. You will be willing and able to take responsibility for Headversity’s end-to-end marketing work, from drafting messaging and content and managing design, to developing our overall marketing strategy, setting targets and tracking and assessing campaign performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a marketing strategy to drive growth, utilizing a variety of channels, including webinars and events, partnerships, paid and earned media, and acquisition campaigns, among others.
  • Create time-based marketing plans that highlight what will be done, when, and how the outlined activities will impact Headversity’s business.
  • Update and maintain a website from the information architecture and content perspectives to ensure that it effectively communicates the company’s differentiated value to target users and customers.
  • Develop sales and partner enablement materials to support go-to-market activities.
  • Lead marketing program execution from start to finish and manage cross-functional collaboration across marketing, design, partnership, customer success, and sales resources.
  • Design, run, and evaluate experiments to assess different organic and paid acquisition channels.
  • Partner with our sales, customer success, partnership, and product teams to design, test, and evolve lead-nurturing and PLG tactics.
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms, extract key insights and develop strategies for future campaign development and go-to-market plans.
  • Manage our website and social media assets, including drafting content and working with internal and external teams to produce visuals and copy on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with internal and external teams to develop and implement an SEO strategy.

Requirements: minimum requirements for this role include

  • 4-8+ years of early-stage SaaS startup marketing experience
  • Strong writing and communication skills and the ability to develop sales and partner enablement materials from scratch.
  • Expertise building GTM strategies, including product-led growth strategies and collaborating with content and design managers.
  • Extreme comfort in working collaboratively with multi-functional teams and independently; able to succeed without guidance or input from your colleagues.
  • Enjoy developing strategies, plans, campaigns, and content from scratch.
  • Relish the opportunity to “get your hands dirty” while making an impact on the company’s success.
  • Proven experience in optimizing and growing the sales funnel from both inbound and outbound perspectives, including lead generation and ABM activities.
  • Experience marketing to a range of audiences-- including SMBs--and working with a significant pipeline that already includes thousands of users and is growing rapidly.
  • Experience building out systems to track, assess, and report across marketing performance metrics (e.g. in HubSpot or similar platforms).
  • Extremely results-driven, with strong analytical skills.
  • Proactive self-starter, confident taking ownership of projects from ideation to delivery.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and a good sense of aesthetics and design.

Preferred requirements for this role:

  • Experience working in a small, fast-growing startup.
  • Experience working with online training products and, ideally, in the mental health field.

Company Culture:

Our company values learning, care and community, striving for greatness and individual resourcefulness. Independent workers who can be self-motivated and be trusted to manage their own workload will thrive in our company. However, we are committed to being a learning organization and to making every effort to support career progression, training, and development. We provide thorough training and on-boarding so that employees are given all the necessary support and guidance to be successful in the role.

Why work for here?

We are a fast-growing tech company looking for like-minded team members. In addition to working with a great team, we also offer the following perks:

  • Access to our in-office facilities, which include a gym, showers, games room, wellness room,
  • mountain view terrace, and a large kitchen, or a super cool studio for any kind of media production imaginable;
  • Full health and dental benefits from 1st day of employment
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • Hybrid work in Calgary
  • Learning and Development opportunities
  • And, of course, all new employees will receive access to headversity SOLO to help build your personal and organizational resilience.

We are an equal opportunity workplace, committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.

If you have a disability or special needs requiring accommodation for an interview or workplace, please let our Human Resources Department know.
