Johnson Barrow BC is a manufacturer’s representative agency providing equipment to institutional multi-family residential, commercial & industrial projects across British Columbia.
This position’s primary responsibilities will be to work directly with our customers and suppliers to coordinate the execution of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment supply, installation and commissioning.
You will be responsible for ordering equipment with our manufacturing partners, following the project delivery schedule and coordinate the logistics associated with delivery of equipment on site. You will help in assessing equipment freight damage on site and manage freight warranty claims. Working with our service department, you will organize the required specialists to conduct required startup and commissioning tasks specific to each equipment type.
Job Duties:
- Provide customer service regarding material and order status, delivery logistics, freight damage assessment, startup & commissioning via phone and/or email
- Complete order entry or quote preparation of commercial HVAC equipment using Johnson Barrow’s custom CRM software and manufacturer’s equipment selection programs.
- Coordinate with factories/ manufacturers to ensure on-time delivery of product
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the flow of product and process
- Perform analytical and administrative tasks
- Work with key personnel to optimize our costs and customer service
- Visit job sites as needed to provide customer support
- Process warranty claims for equipment defects in coordination with our customers and manufacturers
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills, and communication skills (spoken and written).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (word, excel, outlook, etc.), Bluebeam/Adobe experience would be an asset.
- Creative problem solver with the ability to resolve conflicts and determine a positive path forward.
- Self-starting, dependable, accepts ownership, drives own goals/performance
- Ability to learn and interpret technical and contractual language.
- Mechanical aptitude/experience in the HVAC industry or similar supplier experience would be an asset, but is not required.
- Travel to the USA will be required for training purposes, 1 to 2 times per year.
- 2 – 5 years experience in a role requiring a similar skillset would be preferred.
