Esri Canada has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Success Manager, based out of Western Canada, with a focus on the Municipal and Natural Resource customers. As an energetic and driven professional, you will be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that they are being met by our solution. In this role, you will be able to take on a customer advocate position to ensure open lines of communications are in place to achieve the desired outcomes. Through this process, you drive adoption and identify additional opportunities to achieve success for both organizations.


Customer Success Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Continue to build rapport, trust and long-term relationships with relevant staff at all levels within customer organization, particularly at the executive / senior leadership servant level.
  • Work jointly with customers to help them achieve success in their GIS endeavours and wider business strategies.
  • Identify and recommend the best use of GIS and locational intelligence within an organization to promote customer success and achieve a strong ROI from their investment in Esri Canada Solutions
  • Maintain a well-informed account team, through regular communication of all relevant customer strategy, underway and programmed activities, to supporting effective delivery of solutions, and growth.
  • Identify opportunities for professional services, training and software, where these either contribute to the customer’s success or support the sale of Esri Canada software, passing them to account managers
  • Help to Identify and support the resolution of problems or issues within the customers lines of business, and work with the appropriate Esri Canada teams to mitigate or resolve them
  • Maintain customer and market intelligence in Salesforce as required.
  • Seek and compile information on customers that may identify trends that will impact Esri Canada and Customer areas of mutual interest, sharing these with the team to allow for appropriate action to be taken.


Specific skill requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience working with government, ideally municipal, and Natural Resources, and or GIS software company in a sales, consulting or operations role.
  • Sound understanding of the use of GIS in a municipal government and natural resources
  • Experience developing business relationships with customers.
  • A broad range of transferable IT experience/knowledge to support engagements with customers
  • Ability to learn the Esri product stack, and then to be able to identify customer needs, appropriate tools for those needs, and opportunities
  • University Degree and or College Diploma


Considered as assets for this position are the following:

  • Experience in Land Management, Permitting, Asset Management Systems, Public Safety and / or Government Transportation, Digital Transformation experience, and Smart Government initiatives
  • Understanding of the Esri Platform for Municipal Government and Natural Resource areas.

La ou le Responsable de la réussite des clients devra mener à bien les tâches suivantes :

  • Continuer à établir des relations de confiance et des relations à long terme avec le personnel concerné à tous les niveaux de l'organisation du client, en particulier au niveau de la direction et des cadres supérieurs.
  • Travailler conjointement avec les clients pour les aider à réussir leurs projets SIG et leurs stratégies commerciales plus larges.
  • Identifier et recommander la meilleure utilisation du SIG et de l'intelligence locale au sein d'une organisation afin de promouvoir le succès du client et d'obtenir un fort retour sur investissement de son investissement dans les solutions Esri Canada.
  • Maintenir une équipe de compte bien informée, par une communication régulière de toutes les stratégies pertinentes du client, en cours et activités programmées, afin de soutenir une livraison efficace des solutions, et la croissance.
  • Identifier les opportunités de services professionnels, de formation et de logiciels, lorsque ceux-ci contribuent au succès du client ou soutiennent la vente de logiciels Esri Canada, en les transmettant aux gestionnaires de comptesAider à identifier et à soutenir la résolution de problèmes ou de questions dans les secteurs d'activité des clients, et travailler avec les équipes appropriées d'Esri Canada pour les atténuer ou les résoudre.
  • Maintenir les informations sur les clients et le marché dans Salesforce selon les besoins.
  • Rechercher et compiler des informations sur les clients susceptibles d'identifier des tendances qui auront un impact sur Esri Canada et les domaines d'intérêt mutuel des clients, en les partageant avec l'équipe pour permettre de prendre les mesures appropriées.

Exigences particulières

  • Cinq ans ou plus d'expérience dans le domaine de l'administration, idéalement municipale, et des ressources naturelles, ou dans une société de logiciels SIG, dans un rôle de vente, de conseil ou d'exploitation.
  • Bonne compréhension de l'utilisation des SIG dans les administrations municipales et les ressources naturelles.
  • Expérience du développement de relations commerciales avec les clients.
  • Un large éventail d'expériences/connaissances informatiques transférables pour soutenir les engagements avec les clients.
  • Capacité à apprendre l'ensemble des produits Esri, puis à identifier les besoins des clients, les outils appropriés à ces besoins et les opportunités.
  • Diplôme universitaire ou collégial

Compétences considérées comme des atouts:

  • Expérience de la gestion foncière, des permis, des systèmes de gestion des actifs, de la sécurité publique et/ou des transports publics, expérience de la transformation numérique et des initiatives de gouvernement intelligent.
  • Compréhension de la plateforme Esri pour le gouvernement municipal et les domaines des ressources naturelles.
