Job purpose

The main function of the Senior Marketing Specialist is to assist and support the implementation of marketing and merchandising strategies at retail level for the NARS brand. Provide operational marketing support to implement seasonal brand programs and events. Coordinate with Territory Manager, Sales Administration team and Training to ensure seamless execution of marketing programs. The Senior Marketing Specialist will report to the Brand Manager.


Duties and responsibilities


Key Tasks & Responsibilities:


Marketing:

  • Support forecasting of new products, samples, and promotional program components with Marketing Manager
  • Manage the sample tracking, inventory, and budgets for all sampling, GWP and TOA programs
  • Maintain marketing calendars (internal and global)
  • Support NPD monthly analysis and competitive reports/updates
  • Develop seasonal Power Point presentations for market launches and programs as needed
  • Create Retailer presentations for the seasonal marketing program
  • Attend monthly BH meetings to ensure synergies
  • Manage and develop co-op advertising copy and approvals, as well as track co-op budgets
  • Liaise with field sales, sales administration, training teams and communication departments to ensure seamless execution of marketing plans
  • Maintain ongoing communication of marketing programs with retailer buying office coordinators
  • Coordinate and deliver all retailer advertising samples and images for launches and events as required


Digital Media:

  • Work closely with Ad Agency on media campaigns and media strategies
  • Attend all bi-weekly strategy calls with DSS team and media agency
  • Create annual media calendar (internal & agency)
  • Manage Digital Media budget and PO’s
  • Manage all media campaign creative assets including sourcing with Global Team, and complete all trafficking sheets


Events & Activations:

  • Plan and execute all branded sponsorships and corporate events (ie. Bubbles & Brunch, CAFA, SDM Conference, etc.)
  • Work with supplier and 3rd party on flow of events and coordinate shipping timelines
  • Support and update on events/sponsorship budget
  • Work closely with Education & Event Specialist on Elevated, HUB, EIB events to ensure alignment on event strategy
  • Assist Education & Event Specialist on collateral production, TOA allocation, and order upload for all field events


Qualifications

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business/Digital Marketing or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years related experience ideally in the cosmetic industry
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with a strong media/digital background
  • Strong creative, analytical, negotiating, and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong written & oral communication
  • Experience with event planning
  • Must be flexible and willing to work in a team-based environment
  • Bilingual (English & French) an asset
