The Opportunity

At Botpress, we believe in the power of brand consistency and the impact of a strong online presence. Our goal is to ensure that our brand is communicated authentically, relevantly, and compellingly through every touchpoint, including our website, digital marketing campaigns, and developer community outreach. As part of this commitment, we are seeking a Web Designer to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in defining and executing our web design and user experience strategy.


Position Overview

Reporting to our GTM team, the Web Designer will be entrusted with leading design initiatives for Botpress’s web presence. This role involves leveraging your expertise in web design and user experience to create a platform that resonates with our primary audience of developers and teams looking to build chatbots while also driving engagement and revenue. Working closely with partners across the GTM team, you will ensure our digital presence exemplifies our brand and serves as an invaluable resource for our community.


Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the design and user experience of the Botpress website, focusing on creating a compelling, intuitive, and informative platform for developers.
  • Collaborate with our senior product designer to translate the Botpress product philosophy into our digital and web experiences.
  • Implement cross-functional design innovations that that support revenue goals across the organization, like presentation decks, educational material, and other digital content.
  • Champion web design best practices within the organization, serving as a key voice in discussions around web presence and brand portrayal.
  • Manage and execute design projects from concept to completion, adhering to brand guidelines and meeting project deadlines.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in web design, specifically within environments focused on technical or developer audiences.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing excellence in web design, particularly projects aimed at engaging developer communities or technical users.
  • Deep understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, and visual hierarchy, with a focus on web usability and best practices.
  • Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, preferably Webflow, and a strong grasp of website development frameworks.
  • Excellent communication abilities, capable of articulating complex design concepts to diverse audiences within the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively and seek assistance when needed.
  • A collaborative approach, complemented by the autonomy to drive creative solutions and initiatives.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • University or College degree in media or web design
  • Knowledge of AI systems and an interest in machine learning
  • Strong interest in software design and development
  • Experience working with engineering and product teams
