The NNDSB invites applications for the following LTO position commencing immediately until June 26, 2025 or the return of the Teacher :Position : Indigenous Education Teacher Lead Central The Indigenous Education Teacher Lead will report to the Student Achievement and Well-Being Principal responsible for Indigenous Education. The successful candidate will mainly oversee the development and implementation of a grade 7 and 8 History Curriculum Pilot Project as well as other tasked as assigned. Required teaching qualifications: A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers First Nation Metis, Inuit Additional Qualification Part 1 or lived experience Position Criteria: Preference will be given to candidates who identify as Indigenous, Métis or Inuit? Ability to work collaboratively with the program team A strong understanding of?Indigenous Peoples, cultures,?histories and?contemporary contexts Working knowledge of and/or experience with the Grade 7 and 8 History Curriculum Ability and skillsets to work with school communities and partners in?Indigenous?Education Competency in financial management/report writing/ time management A driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel Interested Candidates: Please apply using ApplytoEducation by clicking the Apply Online button below.
