By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs.


We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop advanced humanoid robots. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical design, system integration, and GD&T based on ASME Y14.5, along with experience in optimizing robotic systems for performance and manufacturability.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Mechanical Design: Develop components for humanoid robots (e.g., frames, actuators, joints) using CAD software, applying GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5) to ensure precision and manufacturability.
  • Motion Engineering: Design robotic linkages and mechanisms with a focus on efficient motion and performance optimization.
  • Material & Process Selection: Choose materials and manufacturing methods that balance strength, weight, and cost, ensuring feasibility and reliability.
  • Prototype Development: Lead the prototyping phase, utilizing tools like 3D printing and CNC machining to validate designs.
  • System Integration: Work with electrical engineers and software developers to integrate mechanical components into robotic systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure designs meet safety standards, conducting risk assessments and applying necessary safety features.
  • Testing & Validation: Perform mechanical testing to verify design performance and durability.
  • Documentation: Produce detailed technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs, adhering to GD&T principles.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.



Qualifications:


  • Mechanical Engineering Expertise: Strong background in mechanical design, statics, dynamics, and material science.
  • Proficiency in CAD: Skilled in CAD tools (SolidWorks), with the ability to apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to designs.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing methods like CNC machining, 3D printing, and injection molding.
  • Prototyping Experience: Hands-on experience building and testing prototypes.
  • Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety standards (e.g., ISO 10218) and risk assessment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to tackle complex engineering challenges.
