Programmer Analyst

Brampton, Canada Peel Plastic Products Ltd. Full time

We are seeking a highly skilled Programmer Analyst to join our team. The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications, integrating them with our ERP system and databases. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing reports using Tableau and Crystal Reports. The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts, department managers, and end-users to develop and deploy customized solutions that improve manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and implement software applications that meet business needs and requirements.
  • Work closely with business analysts and department managers to gather and document user requirements.
  • Perform analysis and data mapping to integrate applications with ERP system, Oracle databases, Microsoft SQL Server databases, Crystal reports, and Tableau.
  • Develop and maintain data integrations, ETL processes, and data models.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software applications, integrations, and data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for software applications and integrations.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the IT team to ensure all systems are running.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Provide after-hours support as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development and integration, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems, Oracle databases, and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP processes, manufacturing processes and SQL.
  • Experience with production scheduling systems.
  • Experience with Crystal reports and Tableau.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.
