Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior and Senior Structured Cabling Technician at Stream TechServ located in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area. The Structured Cabling Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring excellent customer service in all communication.


Qualifications

  • Junior 1+ years, Senior 3+ years
  • Installation of structured cable components (Cat 5E, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Fiber Optic)
  • Understanding of networking requirements and wiring standards applicable to the telecommunications industry
  • Ability to grasp new techniques, and deal with rapidly changing events
  • Ability to work safely in hazardous environments
  • Knowledge and skill of tools, equipment, and materials and practices of the trade
  • Fluent in English written and verbal communications
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Own personal tools
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
