and GROW?Sous la direction du directeur de district, le titulaire du poste développera la location et la vente d'équipements de soudage, de production d'énergie et d'automatisation du soudage dans l'Est du Québec en suivant les pistes de vente, en faisant des présentations, en préparant des devis, en conservant toute la documentation requise et en assurant le suivi des clients. Le titulaire du poste évaluera également les besoins des clients et recommandera des solutions appropriées. Certains déplacements de nuit sont nécessaires.

English Translation:
Under the direction of the District Manager, the incumbent will develop rentals and sales of welding equipment, power generation and weld automation in Eastern Quebec by following sales leads, making presentations, preparing quotations, maintaining all required literature and providing customer follow-ups. The incumbent will also assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Some overnight travel is required.

Fonctions essentielles :

-Maintient un environnement de travail sûr en suivant les directives de santé et de sécurité d'Airgas/Red-D-Arc.

-Développer et augmenter la clientèle des utilisateurs finaux grâce à une communication efficace, une évaluation des besoins et des recommandations de solutions.

-Effectuer des démonstrations d'équipement sur site. Fait des recommandations d’application des équipements de soudage et de positionnement.

-Développe des relations d’approvisionnement à long terme par le biais de contrats et/ou d’accords.

-Travaille au sein d'une équipe pour fournir des solutions aux clients.

-Atteint ou dépasse les objectifs de location et de vente spécifiés dans la zone de marché.

-Représente l'entreprise lors des réunions d'associations professionnelles et des salons professionnels pour promouvoir les produits.

-Compile des listes de clients potentiels pour les prospects sur la base d'informations provenant de journaux, d'annuaires professionnels, de revues spécialisées et/ou d'autres sources.

-Maintient la soumission précise et en temps opportun des rapports d'appels de vente et des dépenses.

-Assure le suivi des clients.

-Fournit une couverture de secours à la succursale pendant les vacances et autres pénuries d'employés.

-Effectuer d'autres tâches connexes selon les besoins.

Éducation:

-Études postsecondaires équivalentes à un diplôme en gestion des affaires ou équivalent.

Expérience:

-Expérience en vente dans un environnement de location d'équipement industriel ou de vente ou de location d'équipement de soudage (idéalement dans les secteurs de la construction, de la fabrication et/ou de la fabrication) un atout.

-Connaissance pratique de l'équipement de positionnement, des applications et de l'équipement de soudage, un atout.

-Capacité à établir efficacement des relations avec les clients et les collègues.

-Capacité à développer et exécuter des plans de marché/affaires

-Doit posséder d'excellentes connaissances techniques ainsi que de solides compétences interpersonnelles et de gestion.

-Capacité avérée à développer de nouveaux comptes et de nouvelles opportunités commerciales.

-Nécessite des compétences de présentation et de négociation de haute qualité.

-Doit avoir un permis de conduire valide.

-Capacité à fixer des objectifs et à se motiver ainsi que les autres pour atteindre les objectifs de vente annuels

-Capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois et à travailler de manière indépendante avec peu de supervision.

-Capacité à travailler dans un environnement d’équipe au rythme rapide.

Essential Functions

Maintains a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines.  Develops and increases the end user customer base by effective communication, assessment of needs and recommendations of solutions. Performs onsite equipment demonstrations. Makes application recommendations of welding and positioning equipment. Develops long-term supply relationships through contracts and/or agreements. Works as part of a team in providing customer solutions. Meets or exceeds rental and sales goals specified in the market area.  Represents the company at trade association meetings and Trade Shows to promote products. Compiles lists of prospective customers for sales leads based on information from newspapers, business directories, trade journals and/or other sources. Maintains accurate and timely submission of sales call reports and expenses. Provides customer follow-up. Provides back-up coverage at the branch location during vacations and other employee shortages. Performs other related duties as required.

Education

Post secondary education equivalent to a Diploma in Business Management or equivalent.


Experience

Sales experience in either an industrial equipment rental or a welding equipment sales or rental environment (ideally construction, fabrication, and/or manufacturing sectors) an asset. Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding applications and equipment is an asset. 

Skills and Abilities

Attention to detail and solid organizational skills. Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers. Ability to develop and execute market/business plans  Must have excellent technical knowledge as well as strong interpersonal and management skills. Proven ability to develop new accounts and new business opportunities. Requires high-quality presentation and negotiating skills. Must have a valid driver’s license.  Ability to set goals and motivate self and others to achieve annual sales objectives Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures. Ability to act proactively or find a solution with work-related problems. Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions. Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
