Mill Operations Supervisor

Job Description:

Reporting to the Mill General Foreman on a 14 days on, 14 days off rotation, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing the Mill Operations Crews, while ensuring they work in a safe and productive manner at Lac des Iles Mine.
This position participates actively to implement and execute mill operations plans in a rapidly changing mining environment. This position facilitates the safety of staff, the environment, while communicating on a regular basis with other departments to ensure production parameters are accomplished.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalent; minimum 5 years of experience in a mine concentrator and at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role. In addition the successful candidate must:
Possess good computer skills including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
Have an aptitude for quickly learning and adapting to new computer programs
Possess superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
Possess effective coaching, mentoring and delegating skills
Good communication skills
Valid driver’s license.
