Overview
:Insight Health Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, and flexible Registered Nurse (RN) who has a passion for helping individuals optimize their health and function with an interest in program development and working with varied patient groups. The Nurse is an integral member of the inter-professional team and will play a key role in the occupational health assessment and management of individuals referred from insurers, and employers. They will work along with the physicians, and other allied health providers to fulfill requirements for the individual’s service at our clinic and potentially those across our national partner locations.
The Nurse will assist the Insight Operations team in building the processes and procedures for our new Occupational Medicine integrated practice clinic.
What you’ll do:
Within the clinical team, provide services to participants which may include occupational pre-employments, medical surveillance or return to work Deliver post-incident virtual care to workers with occupational illnesses and injuries; first aid and/or referral to appropriate medical interventions as appropriate and determine ability to return to work. Coordinate with the primary care provider or other health care professionals on relevant follow-ups as indicated, which may include tests or diagnostics imaging, etc. Facilitate referrals to other health professionals, tests or diagnostic imaging as indicated. Document clinical data, assessment findings, diagnoses, plans of care, interventions, patient responses, injury related documentation and clinical rationale in a timely and accurate manner to support injured persons. Participate in the development and evaluation of supporting clinic materials. Participate in continued learning opportunities.Educational Requirements and Qualifications:
Graduate of a recognized college or school of nursing Registered Nurse with Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing Certification as an Occupational Health Nurse is preferred Membership in Ontario Occupational Health Nurses Association (OOHNA) is preferred Clinical experience working in occupational medicine, preferred. Experience in conducting virtual health assessments is an asset Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation including the Human Rights Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act Interest in building innovative models of care and support program development. Experience with conducting health assessments over the phone or telehealth an asset Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes on the job during unexpected situations or changing conditions. Self-directed and innovative thinker Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Excellent organizational, time management and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively within an inter-professional team environment.
