Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a Principal API Designer who'll join our Product Development and Manufacturing Solutions' (PDMS) content design team. Reporting to our Experience Design Manager, you'll help us craft engaging content for internal development teams and for our customers, in addition to product experiences that promote customer knowledge and skill development. Content may include: internal development-facing documentation, customer-facing online help, in-product learning, user interface content, and product messaging.
As a Principal API Designer, you possess strong experience with API design and documentation that you can show to in your portfolio. You possess strong technical knowledge with APIs and can speak to how APIs work within a broader digital platform. Your work will improve worldwide product adoption and retention. When applying, please include a link to your portfolio on your resume.

Design and layout content sites that help the developer persona get up-and-running with our API seamlessly

Create internal and external customer-facing content for the software
Participate in user research to test and iterate on content solutions to support data-driven design and evolution

Contribute to technical reviews of designs and content
Provide feedback and support for cross-functional teams to improve consistency and accuracy through all product-related content
Work with agile teams to provide learnability reviews and content to support new features and workflows
Collaborate with our teams on content planning and content strategy for learning sites and associated channels to align our company goals
