London Hydro is looking to add an SAP Specialist to its core team to assist with the implementation and support of SAP ISU On-Premise S4 Hana solution with infrastructure on the cloud. The ideal candidate will bring their techno-functional experience and skills, and focus on Billing, Invoicing and Correspondence throughout the implementation.

Your responsibilities under the guidance of a Senior SAP Specialist will be to support the existing processes in the current SAP ISU ECC system as well as contribute to the project. You will actively participate in the project implementation, assisting with the requirement gathering, design validations, fit, and gap assessment. You will also assist in data migration-related activities, QA of solution design, code review, and troubleshooting during the UAT, and assist with cut over and stabilization after go live.

In a steady state post implementation, your role will involve providing production support and expertise in resolving issues, including timely implementation of regulatory changes and various ongoing enhancements and projects. You will also be the Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to streamline and the design processes, and gather knowledge and expertise in IDE for Retailer Management, AMI Billing and Settlement areas for Utilities.

JOB DUTIES

More specifically, as a SAP Specialist, you will:

  • Gain knowledge as an IT SME for Customer Billing and correspondence-related functions, Retailer Management and Settlement.
  • Liaison with the Business SME(s) to gain an understanding of their requirements, and provide solutions adhering to the out-of-the-box approach, wherever possible.
  • Support the ongoing SAP processes to ensure smooth, efficient business operations, and contribute in SAP changes from the various PMO projects or enhancements as needed.
  • Carry out solution design and blueprinting to deliver robust business processes that take into consideration accepted industry practices.
  • Configure, code and test the system per defined quality standards.
  • Write business requirements, and maintain the necessary system documentation.
  • Adhere to all Occupational Health & Safety Act rules and regulations, the E&USA rule book, London Hydro work practices, and London Hydro’s Health & Safety Management System.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

This is a techno-functional role that require hands-on coding experience. Along with a university degree in a relevant discipline and with extensive knowledge of Utility Industry business processes, you should have demonstrated the ability to:

  • Perform ABAP coding for FRICE (must have).
  • Conduct business requirement-gathering workshops, and deliver business blueprint documents and/or solution design documents independently.
  • Write functional and technical specifications, and work with Subject Matter Expert to configure and enhance SAP systems.
  • Prepare training materials, and deliver end-user training.
    Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Communicate complex and technical issues effectively to business users.
  • Work with a high degree of independence, and be able to pick up skills and knowledge on the job.
  • Communicate well, orally and in writing, while using good interpersonal skills.
  • Contribute effectively in a team-oriented environment.

You will bring 5 years of techno-functional experience in SAP for Utilities and hands-on experience in the implementation of IS-U core processes mentioned below:

  • Billing, Invoicing.
  • AMI for Time of Use billing.
  • Print Workbench for Bills and Correspondence
    Inter Company Data Exchanges (IDE) for MPM for Retailer Management.
  • Energy Data Management for billing and settlement.
  • ABAP – development of ISU objects, including events and mass processing, ALE, IDOCs, Smartform & SAP Scripts, Reports, Workflow, and Web services.


ASSETS

  • Relevant S4 Hana IS-U experience.
  • FIORI Apps and UI.
  • MCF for Utilities and use of OData entities.
  • FICA experience in payment processing, dunning, reconciliation and unbilled revenue reporting.
  • PO – troubleshooting of interfaces or assisting in new interface development for related functions.
