We are seeking a Data Quality Analyst as part of a comprehensive business and digital transformation initiative, our client is in the process of implementing a new cloud-based Student Information System (SIS). They have established a team to manage this implementation, consisting of various work streams, including a dedicated Data Stream. The Data Stream is responsible for a broad range of data management activities with a primary focus on validating and migrating data from the client's existing legacy system to the new SIS.

The Data Quality Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data during this critical migration process. This role will involve collaborating closely with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to support the migration of data from the legacy system to the cloud-based SIS. You will be responsible for assessing and improving data quality, conducting data analysis, and supporting data conversion and integration efforts.

Responsibilities
- Execute testing, data quality profiling, and data quality assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define business rules, data quality rules, and thresholds for the data being assessed.
- Measure and report on data quality results, utilizing scorecards and dashboards to monitor continuous improvements.
- Identify opportunities to cleanse data ahead of data migrations.
- Prepare status reports for stakeholders and coordinate with business and technical leads on data analysis and reporting.
- Support data verification and functional testing during data migration.
- Perform data issue analysis and remediation.
- Work with internal teams to identify the root causes of data and migration issues.
- Prioritize issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
- Conduct data mapping and build data transformation routines.
- Review business requirements in coordination with Business Analysts and Business Systems Analysts.
- Ensure data mappings are complete and accurate, collaborating with the team to maintain mappings and related metadata.
- Collaborate to develop and execute data transformation routines to transition data to the vendor’s staging database.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Recent experience in a data analysis role, particularly with reporting and analytics projects, data warehouses, and/or data platforms.
- Proven understanding of Data Management and Data Governance principles.
- Skilled in gathering data requirements and defining data quality standards from business use cases.
- Capable of translating complex technology and data concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
- Knowledgeable in Agile methodologies and the Scrum Framework.
- Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) migrations is an asset.
