The SeniorManager Tax plays a crucial role in providing expert tax advisoryand compliance services to our clients while leading and mentoringa team of tax professionals. SpecificResponsibilities:

Client Service:

  • Provide expert tax advice and strategicplanning to a portfolio of clients addressing their specific taxneeds and helping them achieve their financialgoals
  • Interact directly with clients handlingquestions planning and consulting
  • Research andprepare taxplanning strategies leading the preparation of complextax returns
  • Collaborate on multiple complexissues while communicating in a nontechnical manner to facilitateunderstanding between the client and the service team managingrisks for both
  • Build relationships acrossbusiness lines to ensure excellent client service through anintegrated approach

Tax Compliance:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of complextax returns for individuals businesses and other entities ensuringaccuracy and compliance with all relevant tax laws andregulations
  • Review research findings and ensureconclusions align with firm policies and professionalstandards
  • Implement and oversee quality controlprocedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of taxrelated workproducts and services
  • Stay current with changesin tax laws regulations and industry trends. Conduct research toanalyze and interpret complex tax issues providing innovativesolutions to clients and training for teammembers
  • Ensure the firm and its clients complywith all relevant tax regulations and reportingrequirements

Firm/BrandDevelopment:

  • Cultivateand maintain strong client relationships through effectivecommunication exceptional client service and a deep understandingof their needs
  • Identify opportunities to expandservices to existing clients and participate in businessdevelopment efforts to attract newclients
  • Drive growth and profitability in yourindustry/specialty area by generating new revenue from existingclients crossselling and attracting new clients for the taxpractice
  • Lead and cultivate businessrelationships in complex engagements focusing on highvalue qualitytax advice and expanding services to clients

Leadership:

  • Lead mentor and develop a team of taxprofessionals providing guidance on technical matters fosteringprofessional growth and ensuring quality control in taxservices
  • Manage multiple client engagementsconcurrently meeting deadlines and ensuring efficient resourceallocation

Requirements forSuccess:

  • CPAdesignation in good standing
  • Completion of theCPA InDepth Tax program
  • 7 years of post InDepthtax advisory experience
  • Working knowledge ofGAAP/GAAS ASPE and expert knowledge of CanadianTaxation
  • Knowledge of CaseWareCaseView
  • Indepth knowledge of tax preparationand research software
  • Superior relationship andleadership skills
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with senior clientrepresentatives
  • Proven ability to cultivate andmaintain strong client relations
  • Strong projectmanagement skills
